Zainab is a junior at Harvard College studying Social Studies with a secondary in Comparative Literature and a language citation in Arabic.
On campus, Zainab serves as the Director of Development of the Harvard Islamic Society and has been involved with the Anti-Islamophobia Network and the Women’s Initiative for Self-Empowerment (rebranded as Malikah).
Outside of campus, Zainab volunteers with Jetpac Inc., a nonprofit which trains Muslim-Americans and other minorities to run for office. Zainab’s interests are in policy and political advocacy which is reflected in both her extracurricular work and her internships with the Phillips Brooks House Association and the City of Boston’s Office of Health and Human Services.
Zainab has previously taught ESL to high school students in the Boston area, has been mentorship certified, and has informally advised high school seniors on their college applications.
